Role Purpose

The Duty Manager assumes full command and control daily systemwide operations and service recoveries by applying the most efficient tactical plans and cost-effective strategies to achieve the highest possible corporate on-time performance

Key Accountability

  • Accountable for corporate On-Time Performance (OTP) and to take immediate corrective actions with all operating departments to exceed our corporate OTP target and prepare quality daily reports on OTP and major service delays
  • Effective engagement and collaboration with all operating departments for delay handling and service recovery processes to ensure continuity and consistency. Also he/she will accountable for flights data integrity by verifying all delay codes and reasons being accurately updated into FMCS
  • Jointly execute major operational decisions and recovery plans on 24/7 basis on abnormal operations such as flight diversions, air turn back, return to chock, serious incidents, aircraft recovery and crew operating pattern involving Ops Dispatch, Pilot in Command, Fleet Ops and Crew tracking and control. Also initiate activation of MAB EOC based on the criteria and procedures stipulated in the Emegency Response Plan (ERP)
  • Assume the focal point of contact for all flight commanders, station managers, and external agencies including ATC & MAHB for all disruptions regarding MAB Operations and provide feedback for smooth running of OCC
  • Accountable to Head of Ops Planning and Chief Pilot OCC - Enforce staff discipline at all times to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency from all shift staff and other operational , administration duties & projects as and when required

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree in any related field preferably in Operations with 4 years working experience in Operations OR
  • Diploma in any related field preferably in Operations with 7 years working experience in Operations

Skills & Knowledge

  • Wide knowledge in Operations departments in Airline/Airport/Station Management/Terminal Centre Operations is an advantages
  • Analytical decision making with integrity, leadership skill, organizational skill, time management and stress management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with effectively communicate in english, both writing and verbal
