The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing methods, processes, and operational sequences for the fabrication and assembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final products. This role involves determining time standards, proposing resource balancing strategies, recommending tooling requirements, and maintaining comprehensive manufacturing records. The engineer will report key metrics and drive continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies, Process FMEA, 8D problem-solving, and other technical tools to support production line efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the NPI team to initiate manufacturing activities for new products.
  • Design efficient production floor layouts to optimize space utilization.
  • Identify and define tools and equipment required for new product launches.
  • Analyze workforce utilization and estimate production timelines.
  • Coordinate with equipment and fixture vendors for setup and fabrication.
  • Provide input for manufacturing cost estimations.
  • Work with customers to determine product specifications or implement design changes as needed.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve problems using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Develop, verify, and maintain tooling programs and spare parts inventory for equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to address non-conformance issues.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Provide leadership and training to junior manufacturing engineers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years of experience in EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) environments.
  • Proven expertise in supporting end-to-end manufacturing operations, including mechanical assembly, end-of-line testing, and packaging.
  • Hands-on experience with production tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and technical documentation.
  • Experience with equipment, jig, and fixture vendors is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 5S housekeeping practices.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and engaged in production activities.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM7,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • 13th month salary
  • Performance bonus
