Kiddocare, Malaysia's first and preferred on-demand childcare platform is now introducing its own childcare centres called KleverCape. KleverCape emphasizes experiential learning, where children aged 1-4 years old engage in activities that spark curiosity and creativity. The program combines structured play, free exploration, and interactive group activities to develop cognitive, social, and emotional skills. It integrates principles from Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and nature-based education approaches, focusing on child-led discovery and collaborative learning.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Childcare Centre Principal to lead and manage our daycare center. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a business-oriented mindset, and the ability to balance operational efficiency with educational excellence. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing parent relationships, handling crises and communications, coaching and training staff, and ensuring the curriculum meets both parental objectives and brand goals. A focus on service excellence and maintaining the center's competitiveness and profitability is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Provide visionary leadership, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Train, coach, and mentor the daycare team, ensuring staff are skilled, motivated, and aligned with the center’s goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and identifying areas for professional growth.
Parent and Community Engagement
- Build strong relationships with parents, addressing their concerns and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Handle sensitive situations and crises involving parents or children with professionalism and empathy.
- Organize parent workshops, events, and regular meetings to align expectations and share progress.
Curriculum Review and Development
- Oversee the daycare’s curriculum, ensuring it aligns with developmental standards, parental expectations, and brand goals.
- Collaborate with educators to introduce innovative, play-based learning methods that foster children’s growth.
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and adapt as needed to maintain educational quality.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the daycare delivers a consistently high level of service to children and their families.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Regularly monitor the center's environment, facilities, and resources to ensure they meet quality standards.
Business and Financial Management
- Manage the center's budget, ensuring profitability while maintaining the quality of programs and services.
- Develop strategies to retain existing families and attract new enrollments, maintaining competitiveness in the market.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as enrollment rates, parent satisfaction, and financial performance.
Crisis Management and Communication
- Handle emergencies or crises with prompt and effective action, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact for conflict resolution, ensuring issues are managed with diplomacy and care.
- Communicate clearly and transparently with parents, staff, and stakeholders during challenging situations.
Qualifications and skills essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in daycare or early childhood education leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex parent and staff relationships.
- Crisis management skills with the ability to maintain composure and resolve issues effectively.
- Business acumen, including experience with budgeting, financial planning, and competitive analysis.
- Possess Kursus Asuhan Permata (KAP) certification
Preferred
- Familiarity with early childhood education frameworks like Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or play-based learning.
- Experience in marketing or enrollment strategies to drive daycare growth.
- Certification in childcare management or leadership.

Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
