The Application Manager plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the technical team and the sales team. The job scope involves providing technical expertise to support the sales process and helping clients understand how products or services will meet their needs.
Job Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales Support and Consulting
- Technical Consulting: Collaborate with potential clients to understand their specific technical requirements, challenges, and objectives related to product applications.
- Solution Design: Work with the sales team to design customized solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring practicality and scalability.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to showcase products and their capabilities in solving client challenges.
- Proposal Development: Draft and refine comprehensive technical proposals, addressing the specifics of RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
2. Client Relationship Building
- Client Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships with customers their needs are met effectively.
- Technical Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for all technical matters, providing seamless communication between clients and internal teams.
3. Collaboration with Sales Teams
- Sales Enablement: Support sales teams with in-depth technical insights, ensuring they are equipped to close deals confidently.
- Sales Training: Provide training on product features, competitive advantages, and best practices for presenting technical information to clients.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies, identify market opportunities, and address client needs proactively.
4. Market Analysis and Product Positioning
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitors' products, and market positioning to provide actionable insights to sales and marketing teams.
- Product Feedback: Collect and relay client feedback to product development teams, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with market demands.
5. Technical Documentation
- Documentation Development: Create and maintain high-quality technical documents, including product specifications, white papers, and user guides tailored to product applications.
- Training Materials: Develop effective training resources for clients to optimize product usage and implementation.
6. Technical Validation and Testing
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Lead and manage PoC initiatives to demonstrate the efficacy of product solutions in real-world scenarios.
- Testing Support: Collaborate with clients to test and validate products, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
7. Sales Forecasting and Reporting
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on project progress, client feedback, and technical opportunities to management.
- Forecasting Input: Contribute technical perspectives to sales forecasting and resource planning, enhancing strategic decision-making.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Internal Coordination: Work in tandem with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of product solutions.
- Post-Sales Handover: Ensure a smooth transition of technical insights and project details to the implementation or support teams after a sale is finalized.
Requirements
- Prefer candidate possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the product, solutions, or technology being sold, including its features, benefits, and limitations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts to customers in an accessible and engaging way.
- Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes and the ability to align technical solutions with client needs to drive sales.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to identify technical challenges and propose solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Experience in the automotive industry will be an added advantage.
- Possess own transport and a valid driving license.
- Willingness to travel as part of the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Seri Kembangan: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Automitive Refinish Product: 3 years (Preferred)
- Sales and Marketing: 3 years (Preferred)
