Job Scope:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and operational needs.
- Oversee procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and components.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of efficiency.
- Allocate tasks, monitor workload, and provide training to enhance team capabilities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality and service.
- Evaluate supplier performance, conduct regular reviews, and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial objectives.
- Collaborate with material planning and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Prevent overstocking or shortages through effective procurement and inventory management strategies.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry certifications.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Address procurement issues such as delivery delays, material shortages, or quality concerns.
- Implement corrective actions and contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Generate detailed reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics.
- Utilize data to identify trends and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, BOMs, and supplier qualification processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide the purchasing team.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Analytical and decision-making skills to address procurement challenges and optimize performance.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance in the electronics industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of lean procurement practices and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
