Role Purpose
To assist Category Manager for both strategic planning and merchandising.
Main Responsibilities
Business Acumen
- To demonstrate a passion and leadership competency for data-driven decision making.
People
- To work with Merchandising Team to develop and execute sourcing strategies to maximize the new merchandise insights to help drive overall product launch strategy
- To collaborate with supplier to grow sales, margin and buying income to maximize the promotion mechanic and sales floor productivity.
Process
- To have proper supplier management and business plan to ensure accurate movement of skus, price change update, new sku listing, buying income collection and annual trading target achievable.
- Achieve assigned sales goals, strategic volume, promotional plans and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Act as the key point of contact with all internal departments for key accounts including commercial performance, marketing, operation, order entry, shipping, accounting.
- Manages area as a small business and demonstrates ownership, accountability, and initiative through sharing ideas with fellow associates, Category Manager and Vendor sales.
- Analyze sales and data information and makes informed decisions as it relates to product merchandising flow.
- Working with daily administrative tasks.
- Analyzing and resolving data to support stores and warehouses in the day to day areas of stock inventory, indent stock allocation, price update, shipment dispute and claim/disposal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- To adhere and enforce all Company’s policies and procedures.
- Undertake/participate in any ad hoc projects or other relevant duties as assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a fast-paced business/functional areas.
- Strong multi-tasking ability and experience with meeting multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated interest, ability, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with vendor, client, or customer-facing experience.
- Computer literacy in MS Office.
- Able to work extra hours, during PH or odd hours as when needed. Able to travel frequently.
