This role is to plan, direct, and monitor key account managers and sales executives whom they manage key partner accounts that account for a significant portion of the turnover and develop short-term and long-term strategic business plans that will drive sales growth. The role needs to maintain an accurate and healthy market-right sales forecast that meets the demands of the consumers. This will be achieved by having a holistic understanding of market trends, a solid relationship with key partner accounts, and executing trade initiatives to optimize sales opportunities.
KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To develop new channels for business opportunities and explore potential through strategic planning.
- Effectively planning, developing, and implementing sales strategies, policies, and best practices for the overall trade sales business segment.
- To establish strategic business relationships with retailers with a win-win partnership in a sustainable business model.
- Responsible in developing annual customer plan with retailers and departmental stores and maintaining effective trading relation with the designated key accounts.
- Identify customer needs and opportunities by analyzing the sales gap and develop strategy to minimize or close gap.
- To develop the Key Account strategies and drive alignment on annually strategic plan and action plan.
- Conduct joint business planning alignment & trading terms restructure negotiation and closure.
- Gathering, reviewing, and analyzing marketing & competitive information and trade visits.
- Guide trade sales team on the technical aspect of the organization’s products, marketing campaign, sales promotion, sales techniques, procedures, and standards to achieve sales targets.
- Consistently monitor, measure, and follow through with all efforts of the appointed wholesalers to ensure trade matters are executed and trade opportunities are captured.
- Proactively coordinate/facilitate meetings with other functions and customers with quarterly updates of strategic account initiatives.
- Proactively lead the alignment of sell-in, and sell-through processes and ensure the right buy on managing healthy trading activity seasonally.
- Ensure the execution of promotion and other trade agreements with the sales force.
- Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English. Able to command in Mandarin and Cantonese would be an added advantage.
- Able to perform strategic planning, and organizing, and provide a proven sales track record focusing on growth achievement.
- Able to comprehend Retail Metric and fundamentals, provide proven excellent record, and track in key account management.
- Keep abreast with the latest market trends and developments, with sound knowledge of competitors’ activities.
- Able to build up effective trading relationship with current and potential business partners.
- Possess analytical skills and ability to understand consumer insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Apparel / fashion / footwear or FMCG with sports and account management exposure would be an added advantage.
- Experienced with problem solving and resolving complex issues.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point would be an added advantage.
- Familiar in XERP would be an added advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
