Job Summary We are seeking an inspirational, highly motivated and experienced candidate for the role of AI for Education Lead Teacher. The AI for Education Lead is a forward-thinking leader responsible for shaping and implementing KTJ’s vision for artificial intelligence and technology-enhanced learning. This is an exciting time for KTJ in terms of Technology. All staff have Microsoft Surface Pros and we are upgrading all our classrooms and IT infrastructure. We are currently transitioning from Google to Microsoft and expertise in using Microsoft in the classroom would be considered advantageous. Key Responsibilities Lead the use of all technology in Teaching and Learning including learning platforms; Lead the development and implementation of a strategic AI plan aligned with KTJ’s mission and educational goals. Promote ethical AI usage and establish guidelines that respect privacy, data protection, and pupil safety. Champion AI and digital innovation in the classroom to enable personalised, adaptive learning experiences for all pupils. Collaborate with teachers to incorporate AI tools that enhance curriculum delivery, assessment, and feedback mechanisms. Train and support teachers in adopting AI tools, fostering a positive and informed approach to technology integration. Develop and conduct workshops on AI, digital literacy, and technology ethics for both staff and pupils. Oversee the evaluation and selection of AI platforms, ensuring their educational and operational relevance and reliability. Collaborate with IT to ensure the infrastructure supports AI initiatives and adheres to cybersecurity standards. Lead the development of an “AI Learning Pathway”, or similar, for pupils, including projects that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and responsible technology use. Facilitate partnerships with industry experts and educational technology providers to bring innovative tools and perspectives into the school. Maintain relationships with educational technology vendors and stay updated on AI developments in education. Engage parents and the wider school community in understanding the value and role of AI in their children’s education through workshops, coffee mornings, newsletters and events. Present regular reports to SMT on AI initiatives’ progress, challenges, and impact on the School community. Lead pupil workshops across the school, and be comfortable working directly with pupils of all ages. Work with the Computer Science Team on: Running robotics classes, clubs, and extracurricular activities to engage students in practical STEM learning. Organising and preparing students for national and international robotics competitions (e.g., FIRST Robotics, VEX Robotics). Delivering engaging lessons and workshops on robotics, programming, and engineering concepts. Personal characteristics and skills Strong understanding of AI principles, ethics, and their application in education; Demonstrated experience with AI-driven educational tools and platforms; A very high degree of ICT literacy, in particular as a tool to support learning; Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives; A strong team member, who actively builds and promotes trust and openness; A familiarity with, and sensitivity to, the diverse range of student learning needs; Ability to train, mentor, and support staff in adopting new technology; Ability to balance technological innovation with safeguarding and ethical considerations; Passion for fostering a culture of exploration, curiosity, and ethical technology use in pupils; The ability to motivate, inspire and challenge both staff and students; Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in IGCSE syllabus. Good communication skills, both verbally and written; Highly proficient in spoken and written English. Able to communicate in French or Korean language will be an added advantage.
