We are a leading legal firm based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Currently we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Executive to oversee key HR operations and ensure seamless execution of day-to-day processes. This role involves managing the employee lifecycle, administering payroll and benefits, and fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, including job postings and sourcing.
  • Conduct background checks and reference verifications.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring they have the resources to succeed, and are aware of the Firm’s processes and policies.

Employee Relations:

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through engagement initiatives and regular feedback.
  • Assist in developing strategies to boost employee morale and productivity.

Payroll & Claims Processing:

  • Accurately process monthly payroll, including salary calculations, overtime, deductions, and statutory compliance.
  • Accurately verify and process claims.
  • Act as point of contact for payroll queries.

Leave Management:

  • Maintain accurate leave records for all employees, ensuring statutory compliance.
  • Manage leave applications, approvals, and adjustments in the HR system.
  • Provide regular leave balance updates to employees and managers upon request.

HR Operations & Benefits Administration:

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR management system.
  • Prepare and manage documentation such as offer letters, and contracts.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and social memberships.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Act as the primary contact for benefits-related queries and liaise with vendors and service providers.
  • Regularly review and update benefits policies to ensure competitiveness and compliance with industry standards.

Policy Development:

  • Contribute to the creation and revision of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure clear communication and adherence to company guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in HR operations or a generalist role (legal industry experience would be a plus)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
