Purpose of Job
This role will be responsible for managing claims of General lines of motor and non-motor for corporate client accounts of business including property and casualty, contractor all risk, machinery, marine, liability and employee benefits, which involves communicating with stakeholders and facilitating claim settlements.
Key Responsibilities
- Access and review incoming claims notifications and documentation where there are any potential problems or contentious claims and promptly inform the relevant parties.
- Identify the coverage of the policy to seek validation where necessary, and advice where uncertain or clarification required.
- Communicate with insurers and adjusters to help clients manage their incoming claims and ensure that claim management processes adhere to standards.
- Review issues pertaining to claims processing and claims complications, provide resolution and advise on technical expertise to ensure proper application of pertinent claims policy, actions and calculations of claims rates.
- Collaborate with clients and client servicing colleagues for specific claim-related issues or client service concerns to resolve issues.
- Provide professional advice to clients on queries related to policy coverage, claims preparation and operation and other advisory roles.
- Prepare accurate claims reports to maintain proper records and facilitate distribution.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately.
Representing the Company
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business management or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years’ of related working experience in handling corporate claims, Relevant experience in the insurance product lines is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in claims management within the relevant product area.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team to manage claims efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point)
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
