Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead the Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) and implement best-in-class Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices within the organization. As the Lead Testing Management COE, you will play a key role in defining and executing testing strategies for System Integration Testing (SIT) and Performance Testing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software for the Bank’s technology systems. You will lead a team of testers and collaborate with project teams to design, execute, and monitor tests, ensuring that software meets functional specifications and performs optimally.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field. Advanced certifications such as CTAL Test Manager are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing within a technology organization, with at least 3 years in a leadership or test management role. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of Testing Tools: Proficient with testing tools such as Microfocus ALM, UFT, Bugzilla, Testlink, JMeter, LoadRunner, and other relevant test management, defect management, and performance testing tools.

Job Description
As the Lead Testing Management COE, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software testing process. You will define testing frameworks, develop strategies for automation, and ensure the efficient execution of tests. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams—including development, project management, and application support—to ensure that IT systems meet user expectations, are stable, and perform well under load. You will also guide and mentor team members, manage defect resolution processes, and provide expert advisory on testing practices across Digital and Technology Sectors (DTS).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and Review Testing Frameworks: Develop and review testing approaches, frameworks, and automation strategies for SIT and Performance Testing, ensuring they align with industry standards and organizational needs.
- Quality Solutions Delivery: Lead the verification of software functionalities, ensuring they meet documented functional specifications and fulfill user expectations.
- Test Planning and Execution: Work with project teams to create comprehensive test plans, design test cases, and execute tests for SIT, functional regression, and performance testing. Ensure systems are stable and meet performance expectations.
- Requirement Review and Risk Mitigation: Assess application requirements for testability and identify potential risks that may impact system quality. Provide recommendations for preventive and mitigation measures.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Guide and monitor the test analysis, design, and execution processes. Lead the testing team to ensure high-quality output and provide support for complex testing issues.
- Tool Utilization: Promote the effective use of testing tools (test management, defect management, functional regression testing, and performance testing tools) to enhance efficiency and ensure traceability from tests to functional specifications.
- Issue Triage and Root Cause Analysis: Lead issue triage sessions with project teams to perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Test Process Support and Advisory: Provide expert advice and support on test processes, methodologies, and best practices across Digital and Technology Sector (DTS) teams.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
