Job Information:

Gear Inc. is seeking a Procurement Lead to help us in overseeing and managing the procurement process within an organization. It includes responsibilities related to sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure advantageous terms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements. Ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce overall procurement expenses.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to establish and maintain quality standards for procured goods and services.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Promote and support supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Utilize procurement software and technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations, to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Good command of English Proficiency - Verbal and Written required.
  • Proven experience in procurement, with a track record of successful contract negotiations and cost management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks in the procurement process.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
