Junior Performance Tester

Job Description:
As a Junior Performance Tester, you will focus on ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications in the banking, payment, and cards domains. You will be responsible for executing performance tests using HP LoadRunner, analyzing the results, and working alongside senior testers and developers to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. You will also support API testing and collaborate with other teams to ensure software quality.

Experience Required:

  • Overall Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Software Testing
  • Manual/Automated/Performance Testing: Minimum of 2 years
  • API Testing: Minimum of 2 years
  • Tools: HP LoadRunner
  • Domain Expertise: Banking, Payments, Cards

Nice to Have:

  • Domain Knowledge: Security, Investment, Lifestyle, Insurance, Merchants, POS
  • Tools Expertise: JMeter, Locust, JavaScript, Python

Responsibilities:

Performance Testing:

  • Execute performance tests using HP LoadRunner to evaluate the performance of web and mobile applications under load, stress, and scalability conditions.
  • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations to optimize application performance.
  • Work closely with senior testers to develop and implement performance testing strategies.

API Testing:

  • Conduct API testing for RESTful web services using tools like Postman or other tools.
  • Validate API functionality, performance, and response times.
  • Assist in automating API test scripts to ensure efficient testing of backend systems.

Test Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document performance test scenarios, test cases, and results.
  • Provide clear and actionable reports summarizing performance test results, including identified issues, bottlenecks, and recommendations for improvement.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other testers to ensure alignment on performance requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist senior testers in analyzing performance issues and troubleshooting them effectively.

Defect Tracking:

  • Track defects related to performance using Jira, ensuring that issues are reported, documented, and followed through until resolution.

Learning and Skill Development:

  • Continuously learn about new performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Develop proficiency in additional performance testing tools like JMeter or Locust.

Test Execution and Monitoring:

  • Execute performance tests based on pre-defined scenarios, monitor application performance during tests, and provide insights on potential performance bottlenecks.
  • Ensure that test environments are properly configured for load and stress testing.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
