Junior Automation Tester

Job Description:
As a Junior Automation Tester, you will be responsible for automating test cases, conducting functional and regression testing, and ensuring the quality of applications, particularly in the banking, payment, and card domains. You will play a key role in building automated testing frameworks and executing automated tests to enhance the efficiency and coverage of the testing process. While your primary focus will be automation testing, you will receive training and support to develop your skills in API testing and other areas of quality assurance.

Experience Required:

  • Overall Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Software Testing
  • Manual/Automated/Performance Testing: Minimum of 2 years (including both manual and automation testing)
  • Tools: Katalon studios, Jira
  • Domain Expertise: Banking, Payments, Cards

Nice to Have:

  • Domain Knowledge: Security, Investment, Lifestyle, Insurance, Merchants, POS
  • Tools Expertise: Selenium, Appium, UiPath

Responsibilities:

Automation Testing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio.
  • Assist in automating functional, regression, and performance test cases for web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing and quick feedback on code changes.

Manual Testing (Training Provided):

  • Participate in manual testing activities as needed, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Create and execute test cases, report bugs, and verify bug fixes using Jira.
  • Provide support to senior testers for critical manual testing tasks.

API Testing (Training Provided):

  • Begin learning API testing using tools such as Postman.
  • Work alongside senior testers to validate API functionality, performance, and security, ensuring APIs meet functional requirements.

Bug Tracking and Reporting:

  • Report issues, track defects, and ensure they are resolved efficiently using Jira.
  • Work with developers to ensure the swift resolution of bugs and verify fixes.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with senior testers, developers, and product managers to ensure alignment of testing activities with development timelines and project goals.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project execution.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date test documentation, including test scripts, test results, and defect reports.
  • Assist in creating clear, concise reports summarizing test coverage, defect counts, and progress.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
