EXECUTIVE (FACILITY MANAGEMENT - HOSPITAL)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Facility & Maintenance Executive to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of facility maintenance, ensuring all systems and equipment in the hospital are functional, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in facility management or maintenance services, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Maintenance Management:
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions to hospital operations.
• Monitor and ensure the performance of essential building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems).
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory standards, including health and safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify issues or areas for improvement.
• Team Coordination:
• Supervise and coordinate the work of internal maintenance staff and external contractors.
• Provide guidance and training to maintenance personnel to enhance their performance and efficiency.
• Budget and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and facility operations.
• Source and procure maintenance materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
• Evaluate vendor and contractor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
• Emergency and Risk Management:
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to mitigate risks and ensure patient safety.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance certifications.
• Prepare periodic reports on facility operations, maintenance costs, and performance metrics for management review.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field with minimum 1 year of experience in facility/maintenance services (preferably hospital facilities).
• OR
• Diploma in a related field with minimum 5 years of experience in facility/maintenance services (preferably hospital facilities).
• Skills and Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of facility and maintenance operations, including hospital-specific systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and facility management software/tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
