Your Role


The role of the Solution Scientist reports directly to the SLS Head and as member of the SLS Commercial team, you will help define and execute the marketing and specialist sales strategies in Malaysia, provide clear focus and prioritization, develop your team, and drive teamwork and collaboration across the commercial organization and its franchise business partners.


What You Do


  • Set Priorities and Define Goals: Establish clear priorities, develop strategies, and define SLS commercial business goals for the Chemistry portfolio.
  • Align Business Objectives: Set sales targets and business objectives that align with commercial business goals, new product introduction targets, and the overall SLS strategy.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently strive to meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales targets.
  • Drive Profitable Growth: Ensure sustainable growth while managing top-line expectations and achieving price realization goals.
  • Foster High-Impact Culture: Cultivate an environment of high-impact performance and continuous learning.
  • Align Marketing Programs: Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure regional programs align with sales strategies and business objectives.
  • Support Marketing Campaigns and Events: participate in marketing planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns and events to enhance customer engagement and drive business growth.
  • Market Analysis and Solutions: Analyze market trends to identify customer needs and develop solutions that address those requirements.
  • Contribute to Marketing Content: Assist in creating and delivering impactful marketing content and campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Marketing Input in Solution Development: Collaborate with marketing teams to provide technical insights and shape campaigns that position solutions effectively in the market.
  • Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs): Build and nurture relationships with KOLs, business associations, and working groups to enhance the company's technical reputation and expand its presence in the market.


Who You Are


  • Scientific Degree (min. BSc; MSc preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Sales / Business development
  • Business knowledge of the Life Science industry, including customers, competitors, way of operating, cultural awareness
  • Highly motivated by a sales, customer and results focused.
  • Experience and confidence on managing by influence within matrix organization.
  • Confidence on managing within a changing environment implementing and driving it.
  • Excellent execution and proven track record of delivering results & meeting commitments.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in English
