Job Summary: The Chargeman is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safe operation of electrical systems and equipment within the facility. This includes routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including lighting, wiring, generators, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing electrical work.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments on electrical installations and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Implement energy-saving measures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond to electrical emergencies and power outages promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments and external contractors during emergency situations to restore services safely and efficiently.
- Training and Development:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety regulations.
- Participate in relevant training programs and certifications.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians and other staff members.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Chargeman or in a similar role.
- Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a valid Chargeman certificate or license (e.g., A0, A4, B0, etc.).
- Skills:
