Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that all the building safety systems are operational at all times;
- Asist to monitor incidents and accidents, providing rapid response, investigation and reporting of all emergencies in the organization;
- Asist superior on conduct internal safety audits, prepare and hold evacuation drills, firefighting equipment testing in order to ensure highest level of safety in the premises;
- Asist to conduct mandatory training related to safety to ensure compliance with the company's and national requirement;
- Asist to liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. DOSH, DOE, KKM, SOCSO, POLICE, BOMBA, JTK and etc.) pertaining to safety and environmental related matters;
- Asist to initiate safety related meeting periodically in accordance with the local codes and company's demand;
- Asist to prepare technical safety & health operating procedures, training materials, and documentation;
- Maintains log sheets, inspection records, computer monitoring data, and other record-keeping systems as required by the specific program areas;
- Asist to organize safety & health committees, and other relevant activities as per regulations;
- Monitor On-site contractor activity and understand local risks applicable to contractor and external service providers, implement, monitor, and evaluate approved processes to control local environmental, Safety & health risks with contractors;
- Ensure effective Permit to Work System and competency assurance for PTW roles. Carry out PTW inspections;
Job Requirements
- DOSH registered Safety Coordinator.
- A Diploma or Certificate in Safety & Health Officer or Safety & Health Management is an advantage;
- One or more year experience in safety roles in manufacturing industry;
- Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise;
- Understanding of safety management system and regulatory issues;
- Being a DOE registered Scheduled Waste competent person is an advantage.
Job-Related Skills
- Computer Knowledge in Microsoft Office Application MS Word, MS Excel & MS Power Point, SAP system;
- Positive and proactive attitude, dedicated, ambitious, good work ethic, able to work independently as well as in group;
- Willing to learn new knowledge, patience, responsible and able to work in a challenging and dynamic working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
