Education Assistant - After School Programme (80012)

JOB SUMMARY:

Sunway International School (SIS) is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Educational Assistant to join the After-School Programme team at our Sunway Iskandar campus. The incumbent will support the diverse learning needs of students and assist teachers in delivering high-quality education. This role involves guiding students, particularly those with higher learning needs, working in small groups, and providing administrative support to ensure effective classroom management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advise and guide students in their learning journey.
• Support students with higher learning needs (i.e., English as a Second Languages (ESL) and Special Education).
• Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning outcomes.
• Consult with and supervise students to ensure a productive environment.
• Mark and assess students’ work, assignments, projects, tests, and examinations.
• Perform administrative functions to support classes and other instructional activities.
• Collaborate with the academic teaching team regarding teaching approaches, materials, and curricula.
• Engage in professional development related to teaching and learning.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Education or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Available to work from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language is preferred.
• Experience working with Special Needs children is advantageous.
