Senior Officer, Crew Tracking Control
Reports To
Senior Executive, Crew Tracking Control
Role Purpose
Managing crew duty roster, training, and flight pairing beyond 48 hours in. The Senior Officer Advance Planning reports directly to Senior Executive Operations.
Key Accountability
- To participate and uphold the safety and security policies and procedures in line with Flight Operations objectives.
- Apply environmental best practices in support of MH Environmental policy and initiatives.
- Reviewing Draft Schedule Change (DSC) & Updating Schedule Change Notification (SCN) from Network Scheduling as & when required.
- Evaluate and execute on planned crew flight pairing changes due to commercial/technical requirements:
- Operations Planning (DSC/SCN)
- Cargo Operations
- Charter and AMAL
- Engineering Planning (Test/Ferry Flight)
- Assist in updating of crew and flight movement activity as and when required.
- Managing planned crew roster changes due to crew unavailability.
- Managing reservation booking and ticket issuance for the crew on positioning duty.
- Coordinate any changes on planned crew hotel accommodation.
- Managing ad-hoc leave request after roster published. Note: Approval must be obtained from Manager, Crew Tracking & Control (CTC) or Chief Pilot Operations Control Centre or Fleet Operations or In-Flight Services Unit.
- Managing Flight crew training roster.
- Managing seasonal transition verification of rostered flights.
- Analyzing crew standby utilization.
- Analyzing crew flight pairing disruption.
- Analyzing crew duty roster changes.
- Attend to crew needs and query on operations matters.
- Action on planned crew pattern & roster disruption due to operational and administration requirements:
- Removal
- Reassignment
- Reinstatement
- Advise and monitor acknowledgment of the affected crew due to roster changes.
- Advise stations of crew movement & organize any additional or cancellation of crew hotel, transport, and ticket issuance for the crew on positioning duty.
- Ensure planned crew roster changes resulting from operations and administrations are handled accordingly.
- Monitor Flight crew training and liaise with the Training Unit on crew training matters.
- Update record of crew and flight movement activity.
- Update Supernumerary (SNY) flight for Cabin crew and Observation (OBS) flight for Flight crew.
- Update record on approved crew roster/flight schedule changes.
- Pre-Assignment for Flight crew and Cabin crew.
- Monitor ad-hoc simulator & training for Flight crew and liaise with the Training Unit.
- Monitor crew roster legality / alert and action flight activities on the day-to-day operations up to 72 hours.
- Managing observation and update record scheduling for flight crew on training.
- Any other duties assigned by the Manager, Crew Tracking & Control (CTC) or Senior Executive Operations.
Qualifications & Working Experience
Diploma or SPM in any related field preferably in Operations, or connect with Flight Operations.
Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge in Flight Operations policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of crew operating pattern and duty roster.
- Knowledge of business administration - Human Capital (HC) regulation.
- Knowledge of the New Crew Management System (NCMS).
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
