Maintenance Engineer

 Responsible for providing engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as required to solve maintenance, technical, and equipment reliability issues.  Responsible to develop preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance procedures as required to ensure equipment availability.  Responsible to supervising crews and work teams when necessary to execute reliability improvement and repair work.  Responsible for acting as a project coordinator on a selection of projects, including ultimate responsibility for financial control, resourcing management, internal project coordination, administration, and programming.  Responsible for acting as a leader of the mechanical section of the team, including ultimate responsibility for the design quality, performance, work processes and resourcing management of the section.  Responsible to specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.  Responsible to investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.  Responsible to conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.  Responsible to establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.  Responsible to deploy and effective utilization of manpower and material resources in the department and monitor job progress and man-hours of the assigned project.  Responsible to provide training or coaching to other local mechanical engineer on providing maintenance to minimize machinery downtime.
