The Demi Chef is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within the designated section of the kitchen. They work closely with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure high-quality food standards and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Supervise and support junior kitchen staff in their daily responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the assigned kitchen section.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or additional needs to the Head Chef.
- Help minimize waste by ensuring efficient use of ingredients and proper storage of leftovers.
- Adapt to special dietary requests or menu changes as needed.
- Assist in creating and testing new recipes and menu items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
