Finance Risk Control [ FRC ] Snr Svc Mgr (Shared Services)

In this role, what is expected of me? • Possess sound problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in cooperation with others as appropriate; • Ability to help develop problem-solving skills among team members as appropriate; • Be able to take initiative to identify and implement elements required for team members to fulfill their responsibilities; • Assists, supervises, and checks the daily work of team members; • Ensures daily revenue and costs are accurately and completely reported and variances investigated. Some key responsibilities include: Daily Duties 1. Review the daily room rate variance and revenue adjustments. 2. Review package (breakfast or banquet) postings and adjustments. 3. Run analysis tools (e.g., IARA), review the trends, and identify outliers for further investigations. 4. Issue audit findings for discrepancies noted in periodic verification and analysis tool exceptions. 5. Verify accuracy, analyze daily food and beverage cost reports, and investigate variances. 6. Review recipe costing (with input from the hotel) and perform menu engineering. 7. Review open-key usage. 8. Review store (i.e., general, food & beverage) par level (only for hotels with stores). Monthly Duties and Reporting 1. Prepare journal vouchers and statistical reports as required. 2. Independent review of month-end inventory results at stores and outlets (on a random basis) and reconciliation to both inventory management and accounting systems. 3. Verify accuracy, analyze monthly food and beverage cost reports, and investigate variances. 4. Prepare management and analysis reports for revenue and food and beverage costs. Qualifications and requirements: • At least 5 years of working experience in a hotel or similar environment. • Experience in income auditing and cost control is an advantage. • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and is flexible and open-minded. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • Self-driven, acts upon needs rather than upon requests. • While the above is our ideal list, we will consider candidates who do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
