Housekeeping Supervisor

• Conduct shift briefing daily with service attendants
• Monitors staff projects as well as hands on cleaning and training with housekeeping attendants
• Conducts SOP training
• Ensure equipment care and conditions and completes assigned projects in a timely manner
• Conducts on or off-job training of staff on cleaning procedures, equipment procedures, chemicals usage and dilution and sectional assignments
• Directly responsible for assigned projects and follows through on shift projects
• Conducts periodic walkthroughs of areas to ensure all areas and staff are properly stocked with supplies, assists where needed
• Perform any others duties and assignments as and when required by Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager
• Ensures proper use of equipment through spot checks and quality of completed projects or assignment
• Communicates problems area and staff problems with Assistant Housekeeping Manager on duty and or the Housekeeping Manager
• Adherence to all Housekeeping procedures and guidelines
• Assists in guest request during overnight shift
• Reports and follow up Maintenance Job Requests to ensure that they are attended to
• Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of Public Area supplies store, janitor, machinery and equipment
• Each supervisor is held responsible for taking reasonable precautionary measures on safety and health procedures with respect to person, company property, products and services
• Supervisory personnel should study and strictly observe all the safety regulations and safe working practices at respective departments and sections.
• To communicate and reinforce safety requirements and procedures are followed on specific job instructions.
• To ensure proper use of safe tools equipment’s at all times
• To take immediate remedial action to initiate corrective measures on unsafe conditional or environmental when deemed necessary
• Is responsible for the general housekeeping for cleanliness and at the relevant respective department / section safety operational processes of which the supervisors are in-charge of the department / section.
• Prepare housekeeping attendant staff duty roster for payroll records
• Ensure and monitor staff grooming in accordance with Hotel requirement
