Oracle DBA

Job Responsibilities: 1) Database Administration & Maintenance Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases along with PostgresSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL as needed. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of database servers to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Monitor database health and performance; perform tuning to ensure peak performance. 2) Database Support & Incident Management Provide Level 2/3 support for database issues, addressing and resolving database-related incidents within defined SLAs. Work with application teams and developers to ensure database integrity and troubleshoot any application-database interaction issues. 3) Data Backup, Recovery, and Security Implement and manage database backup and recovery processes to ensure data protection. Enforce data security and access control to maintain confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies. 4) Capacity Planning & Optimization Assess and plan for current and future database resource needs, including storage, CPU, and memory. Proactively identify and resolve potential capacity bottlenecks and recommend improvements. 5) Documentation and Reporting Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, policies, and procedures. Generate regular performance and capacity reports for management. Job Requirements: 1) Technical Experience Minimum 3+ years of experience in database administration, support, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with Oracle Database and experience in at least one other database system (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL). 2) Language Requirements Prefer candidates who can speak Mandarin and Cantonese to communicate effectively with specific teams and clients. 3) Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of database design principles, architecture, and data integrity. Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools. Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security procedures for databases. Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. 4) Educational Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
