Job Title: Chargeman A4 Company : AgroV Sdn Bhd Position Overview: AgroV, a visionary project in collaboration with Genting Highlands, is developing Malaysia’s largest glasshouse for flower farming, set to open in May 2025. To support this landmark initiative, we are seeking a skilled Chargeman A4 to oversee and maintain our electrical systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and compliance of all electrical and utility systems, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our operations. Shape Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Operations: Manage the operation and maintenance of high- and low-voltage electrical systems within the facility. Ensure compliance with the Electrical Regulation 1994 and Electricity Supply Act 1990. Meet all regulatory requirements set by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and DOSH. Respond to and address abnormalities reported by the Electrical Competent Engineer. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and prepare comprehensive records, including: Operation logs Inspection and maintenance reports Breakdown and routine schedules Submit regular updates on power quality monitoring, electrical inspections, and usage reports. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety of all electrical works and procedures performed on-site. Act as the Evacuation Leader for the Emergency Response Team during incidents. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Plan, implement, and monitor all electrical maintenance tasks, whether in-house or outsourced. Minimize power disruptions and ensure continuous operations, particularly during construction and future operational phases. Provide 24/7 on-call support for electrical emergencies, taking immediate action to mitigate risks. Propose upgrades and modifications to improve system efficiency and reliability. Team Leadership and Training: Lead, supervise, and train a team of technicians, ensuring high standards in task execution. Shape Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of Electrical Regulation 1994, Electricity Supply Act 1990, and compliance requirements from ST, TNB, and DOSH. Proven hands-on experience with high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems in a manufacturing or facility environment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Diploma in Electrical Power or a related field. Valid Chargeman A4 Certificate, registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST). Expertise in electrical system installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities. Shape Job Routine Tasks: Daily Tasks: Record and monitor main power quality and load consumption. Oversee the performance of electrical machinery and systems. Perform repair and maintenance tasks for electrical equipment and instruments. Respond to complaints and breakdowns promptly. Weekly Tasks: Test the functionality of capacitor banks and battery banks. Inspect electrical switchboards and control panels. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages. Attend weekly team meetings to align on operational updates. Monthly Tasks: Log and review competent engineer reports. Submit detailed reports on power quality, electrical inspections, and electricity consumption. Record and analyze machine breakdowns and completed maintenance tasks. Test protection equipment (e.g., ELCB, RCCB, ELR) for functionality and safety. Ad Hoc and Other Tasks: Support electrical improvement and special projects during and post-construction. Propose and implement energy-saving initiatives for the facility. Assist with facility maintenance, mechanical, and civil tasks as needed. Maintain records of maintenance activities for forklifts and air receiver machines. Collaborate with the Environment Department to monitor and maintain the APCS system.
