DETAILED FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions to understand product requirements. 2. Perform assembly of switchgear metal enclosures using appropriate tools, equipment, and techniques. 3. Align, fit, and secure components using bolts, screws, rivets, or welding techniques as required. 4. Inspect and verify assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. 5. Identify and resolve issues during assembly, such as misaligned components or defects, to ensure smooth operations. 6. Conduct regular checks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. 7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify process improvements and enhance assembly efficiency. 8. Maintain documentation of assembly procedures and any modifications for future reference. 9. Adhere to safety standards, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools. 10. Report any incidents, defects, or delays in production to the supervisor promptly. 11. Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with workplace hygiene and safety regulations. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent technical certification in mechanical assembly or a related field. 2. Proven experience in assembling sheet metal enclosures or related components in a manufacturing environment. 3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. 4. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly. 5. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications. 6. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. 7. Basic understanding of safety procedures and quality assurance practices in manufacturing. 8. Prior experience in switchgear assembly or sheet metal fabrication is an advantage.
