PRECASTING AND PRESTRESSING SUPERVISOR

JOB DESCRIPTION: PRECASTING AND PRESTRESSING SUPERVISOR • Lead team of concrete production workers to produce precast segments that meet appropriate quality requirements. • Manage team shifts and organize daily activity of crews to meet production requirements and timeline. • Accurately set up, verify, and pour structural concrete products. • Responsible for batching concrete or scheduling ready-mix concrete as appropriate for production. • Supervise QC technician and support QC efforts as needed. • Manage construction of bridges and structural components of transportation projects • Contract documentation, processing change orders, coordinating with designer and resolve field issues • Maintain inventory required for concrete production and inform purchasing team when repairs are necessary. • Train new employees on procedures and equipment as needed. • Communicate production progress to upper management. • Facilitate an environment where all employees are groomed for success and professional growth. • Adhere to appropriate testing standards and maintain a safe working environment to ensure ACI, PCI, city-specific and OSHA compliance. • Ability to read drawings/blueprints, measuring tapes and other measuring tools as needed. • Review falsework design, perform trenching and shoring reviews and evaluations, prestressing shop drawings, concrete mix design and bridge surveying • Lead all aspects of structure contract administration including staffing, meeting with contractors and agencies, partnering and coordinating with bridge and District designers to resolve field issues • Create and present structural overviews for upcoming projects and develop reports that include technical details for engineers and analysis and cost estimates for project managers and senior executives • Participate in initial planning and bidding processes • Actively participate in department goals and special projects. • Responsible for monitoring staff to confirm that contractors’ responsibilities are monitored and controlled in accordance with project plans, specifications and requirements • Provide consistent communicate to management needs relating to schedule, manpower and equipment. Dance and training for team members, including daily safety meetings.
