We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Controller Cum Purchaser to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth procurement and management of materials for our ongoing construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process for materials, ensuring timely delivery to construction sites.
- Monitor and control stock levels to prevent shortages or excess materials.
- Maintain accurate records of all material purchases and inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules.
- Inspect materials upon arrival to ensure quality and quantity.
- Work closely with project managers to align material needs with construction timelines.
- Prepare purchase orders and monitor supply chain performance.
- Assist in managing supplier relationships and resolving any procurement-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and construction standards.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the management team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in material control and purchasing, preferably in a construction company.
- Knowledge of construction materials and supply chain processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields (preferred).
