Job Responsibilities :

As a member of the Risk Management team, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining risk governance processes, identifying issues and reducing operational risk. Risk areas include but are not limited to operations process, technology outage related, regulation and new business initiatives. This role is responsible to assist in proactive identification and resolution of operating risk and control issues. It requires co-ordination with internal business units and also includes elements of reporting to senior management.

This is a position within the Risk Management Department, for a candidate who is able to assist the Head of Department to oversee risk management activities within FIUU.

  • Develop, review, and maintain the operational risk governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk registers. Ensure consistent implementation with a focus on key areas such as operational risk, business continuity, and third-party risk management.

  • Conduct independent reviews and challenge risk control self-assessments (RCSA), Incident Reported in collaboration with risk owners. Work closely with risk owners to design and enhance their processes, thereby strengthening the control environment based on risk assessments and other relevant risk events.

  • Oversee and support the operational risk incident reporting process, ensuring that risk owners promptly report, log, and escalate incidents. Coordinate investigations as necessary, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and process improvements before incident closure.

  • Review and test the business resilience framework by collaborating with business units to ensure timely completion and thorough assessment of business continuity management.

  • Review and manage the Merchant/Partner Risk Management framework , working closely with business unit to perform due diligence processes related to Merchant Risk, Third Party Agent/Partner & KYC/Onboarding related matters.

  • Collaborate with other departments on risk-driven projects/initiatives and actively participate in the development of new products and services to ensure that operational risk considerations are fully assessed and addressed.

  • Ad-hoc review of agreement/contract for business arrangements related to risk areas.

Pre-Requisites :

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.

  • A strong understanding of risks issues and events to enable informed reporting and constructive challenge.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills.

  • Possess excellent reporting skills, translating data into clear, actionable information.

  • Experience in risk or control roles within financial services, with a proven delivery track record.

  • Exhibit excellent communication, organisational, and influencing skills, engaging effectively with colleagues at all levels and drafting reports for senior leadership.
