Estate Manager/ Senior Manager

Position Title: Estate Manager Industry: Agriculture (Oil Palm Plantation) Location: Sarawak Job Overview: The Estate Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational and administrative aspects of the oil palm plantation to ensure optimal productivity and sustainability. This role demands strong leadership, operational expertise, and a strategic approach to managing plantation activities while meeting organizational objectives. Job Responsibilities: Operational Management: Supervise daily estate operations, including planting, maintenance, harvesting, and overall crop management to achieve optimal yield. Workforce Supervision: Lead, train, and manage plantation staff, ensuring efficient labor utilization and compliance with company policies. Budget Management: Develop and manage the estate's operating budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial targets. Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials for efficient plantation operations. Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with government regulations, environmental standards, and sustainable agricultural practices. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of plantation activities, yields, costs, and employee performance. Generate regular reports for senior management. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with headquarters, suppliers, contractors, and local authorities to support estate operations. Qualifications & Experiences Needed: Education: A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, plantation management, or a related field is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in an oil palm plantation or a similar agricultural operation. Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a good understanding of plantation best practices and technologies.
