Position: Food & Beverage General Manager Location: Klang Valley, Malaysia Position Type: Full-time Monthly Salary: RM 10,000 – RM 20,000 (commensurate with experience) ________________________________________ Role Overview The F&B General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring outstanding customer experiences, and maintaining the highest standards in food quality, service, and cleanliness. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage teams effectively, optimize operations, and collaborate closely with ownership to develop and execute strategies for scaling the business. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Operations Management • Lead and manage the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless daily operations. • Implement and enforce operational policies, ensuring compliance with food safety, cleanliness, and hospitality standards. • Develop processes to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall operational performance. 2. Financial Management & Profitability • Manage the restaurant’s P&L, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded. • Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls to minimize waste and optimize profitability. • Collaborate with ownership on pricing strategies, promotional activities, and financial forecasting. 3. Team Development & Training • Recruit, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing, collaborative team. • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to ensure service excellence. • Create and implement staff training programs on service standards, product knowledge, and safety. 4. Customer Experience & Satisfaction • Oversee all aspects of the guest experience, ensuring a welcoming and consistent atmosphere. • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly to maintain guest loyalty. • Innovate and refresh the menu and dining experience to keep it exciting and customer-focused. 5. Marketing & Brand Strategy • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, events, and social media strategies. • Explore opportunities for brand partnerships, community engagement, and new revenue streams. • Ensure the restaurant maintains a strong online and offline brand presence. 6. Compliance & Safety • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and labor regulations. • Regularly review and update safety protocols to provide a secure environment for staff and customers. ________________________________________ Requirements Experience & Qualifications • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in food and beverage management, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., GM, Assistant GM, Operations Manager). Experience in startups or niche dining concepts is a plus. • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage diverse teams. • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. • Customer-Centric: Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. • Operational Excellence: Skilled in managing operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. • Education: A degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
