Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Manage Change and Release teams to ensure efficient & effective level of support.
  • Provide support to ensure alignment with the various business strategic objectives & priorities in terms of scheduled deployments
  • Leads the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for change and release management tools for IT to ensure the process requirements are built in.
  • Identify, improve and implement change in processes, procedures and practices to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in managing change and release.
  • To be responsible for the delivery of effective change an release management
  • Ensure timely reporting, planning, managing risks / issues, appropriate escalation in managing change requests for release.
  • Managing Vendor performance
People Management
  • Plan & manage resources to meet function needs.
  • Plan & execute staff resource development & training plan & develop pool of system experts to maintain & engagement with business users.
Administration
  • Monitor staff performance & conduct performance appraisals.
  • Checking monthly staff claims & approving staff leaves
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience/Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing Change and Release management.
  • 5 years of previous relevant experience in project change, in particular with bank systems and standard change mgt. methodologies and change assurance.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in information systems operations in systems analysis or development.
  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the technology arena
  • Must have strong leadership and Management skill to managing technical staff, assigning and organizing tasks, overseeing implementations and managing budget.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Certification/Licensing Requirements (not necessary but an added advantage)
  • ITIL Foundation V3 is required.
  • ITIL intermediate in Service Transition is required, or/ and
  • ITIL Managing of LifeCycle & ITIL Expert is preferred.
