Job Summary:

The Team Leader, Warehousing is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of warehouse functions within the factory and collaborating with 3PL providers. This role ensures that inventory management, warehousing, and logistics processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with specifications. Key deliverables include the coordination of shipments, maintaining accurate inventory levels, implementing safety and quality standards, and driving process improvements to optimize supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Operations Management:
    • Coordinate and manage the overall warehouse operations within the factory and with 3PL partners.
    • Oversee material receiving, storage, and finished goods shipping to the 3PL warehouse.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock handling.
    • Ensure warehouse housekeeping and organization standards are met.
  • Inventory & Stock Control:
    • Address issues related to slow-moving inventory, obsolete goods, scrap, and stock discrepancies.
    • Monitor inventory levels and implement corrective actions as needed to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, Planning, Digital Supply Chain teams) and external partners to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment of requests.
    • Ensure smooth communication between the warehouse and other departments to support production continuity.
  • People & Team Management:
    • Lead, manage, and support the warehouse team to meet operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the team.
    • Plan, organize, and develop the team, providing coaching and regular feedback for their professional growth.
    • Manage recruitment and retention, ensuring a blend of technical capability and cultural fit aligned with ResMed's values.
  • Health, Safety, & Compliance:
    • Lead efforts to ensure full compliance with safety regulations and warehouse operating procedures.
    • Foster a culture of safety by training staff, managing work systems, and monitoring health and safety performance within the team.
    • Ensure that warehouse operations adhere to health and safety standards, minimizing risk and enhancing team well-being.
  • Process Improvement & Lean Initiatives:
    • Implement Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including lean methodologies such as PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), JDI (Just-Do-It), and 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety).
    • Drive improvements in warehouse processes and operational efficiency to align with organizational goals.
  • Equipment & Resource Management:
    • Manage onsite warehouse equipment (e.g., Walkie Stackers, forklifts) and coordinate with contractors for warehouse-related activities.
    • Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operational readiness of equipment to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Logistics & Shipping Coordination:
    • Work with external partners to meet customer shipping requirements based on demand, inventory, and shipping parameters.
    • Ensure compliance with terms of trade, sales agreements, and pricing for shipping and invoicing.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:
    • Create internal requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring proper handling of stock and materials.
    • Assist with managing import orders and liaise with relevant departments to meet deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Warehouse/Logistics Management or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or in 3PL/logistics operations .
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety policies and procedures and ability to apply them in the day-to-day work environment.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Processes and their application within warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in warehouse/logistics coordination, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and business excellence initiatives.
  • Knowledge of managing third-party logistics (3PL) operations and coordinating with external partners.
