Company: Armstrong Electronics Sdn Bhd Location: Kulai, Johor We are looking for a dynamic and creative person to join our team. - The purchasing executive is responsible for managing purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance. This includes vendor management, procurement planning, and maintaining accurate records, while aligning with company policies and operational goals. You will play an important role in:- A. Planning and execution 1. Coordinate procurement activities to meet production and operational needs effectively. 2. Prepare, issue, and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation. 3. Develop and maintain a database of approved suppliers, contracts, and price lists. 4. Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to recommend cost-saving opportunities. 5. Address and resolve supply chain issues, such as delivery delays or quality discrepancies, promptly 6. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. 7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality. 8. Conduct supplier evaluations, including delivery performance, quality standards, and adherence to agreements. 9. Conduct post-purchase reviews to assess supplier performance and improve processes. 10. Participate in procurement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce lead times. B. Mid-to-long term strategic planning 1. Identify and establish long-term relationships with reliable suppliers to secure cost-effective procurement solutions. 2. Conduct periodic supplier evaluations to ensure alignment with company standards and compliance requirements. 3. Contribute to developing procurement strategies that enhance the supply chain's resilience and efficiency To be successful in this role, you will need to have:- 1. Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or a related role, with exposure to vendor management and cost analysis. 2. Experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and inventory management. 3. Prior involvement in implementing procurement strategies and systems is an advantage. 4 Diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5. Professional certification is an added advantage. Technical 1. Proficient in procurement software and SAP systems (e.g., ERP). 2. Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and cost reduction techniques. 3. Familiarity with REACH compliance and other relevant regulatory requirements. Non-Technical 1. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 2. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 3. Effective communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
