Key Responsibilities: 1)Measurement Assistance - Assist the surveyor in taking linear measurements using a survey chain, tape measure, or other equipment to determine distances on construction sites. Assist in laying out reference points, boundaries, and construction lines based on the surveyor’s instructions. Help measure and mark areas for excavation, road alignment, bridge placement, and other critical construction work. 2)Site Preparation - Assist in setting up survey equipment such as theodolites, total stations, or leveling instruments, under the guidance of a senior surveyor. Prepare and maintain markers, stakes, and survey tools on the construction site to ensure proper alignment of work. Assist in ensuring that construction works are carried out according to the correct measurements and specifications. 3)Data Collection and Documentation - Record measurement data, coordinates, and other site-specific information accurately in the field notebook or electronic devices. Assist in preparing reports on distances, angles, and other surveyed parameters as required by the surveyor or project team. Ensure that all survey data is clearly noted and organized for future reference and analysis. 4)Coordinate with Surveyor and Site Teams - Work closely with surveyors, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that survey results are accurately translated into construction plans. Ensure that alignment, grade, and level are strictly followed during the construction process. Communicate any discrepancies or issues encountered during measurements or site work to the senior surveyor or site engineer. 5)Material Handling - Transport and set up survey tools and equipment, including tapes, tripods, rods, and markers. - Assist in the movement of materials and survey equipment between different locations on the construction site. Job Requirements - High School Diploma or equivalent (preferably with some background in mathematics or engineering). Additional certification or training in surveying or related fields is a plus (e.g., surveying assistant programs, land surveying courses). - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in road, bridge, or infrastructure construction. Experience working with surveying equipment (such as chains, tapes, and basic measuring tools) is beneficial. - Basic understanding of survey techniques and equipment used in construction projects.
