The Senior Production Engineer supports site operations, ensuring compliance with Air Liquide's Industrial and Quality Management Systems, as well as local regulations. You will need to manage carrier gas operations safely and efficiently, aligning with customers’ requirements. The role emphasizes operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement to enhance safety, reliability, and performance.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Develop and manage maintenance programs in collaboration with maintenance teams to enhance operational reliability.
  • Monitor production and maintenance performance metrics, analyze reports, and address operational issues effectively.
  • Apply statistical analysis to identify corrective actions and improve processes.
  • Implement strategies to boost operational efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and closure of work orders.
  • Oversee monthly maintenance schedules and provide progress updates to management.
  • Coordinate with teams to minimize unplanned downtime and reduce equipment failures.
  • Manage predictive maintenance processes, spare parts inventory, and overall inventory control.
  • Promote safety practices, near-miss reporting, and compliance with MOC and Safe Work Permits.
  • Maintain accurate plant documentation, including operating manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support HSE compliance, IMS audits, and liaise with regulatory authorities to meet legal requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and align maintenance activities with operational goals to reduce downtime and ensure efficiency.
  • Review Group technical documents for operational compliance and implement actions to achieve full compliance for safety and reliability of processes

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, with maintenance planning experience being an advantage.
  • Familiarity with field troubleshooting experiences.
  • Knowledge of process equipment and maintenance management practices.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation
  • Great interpersonal skills, adept at communication and maintaining relationships at all levels, including customers.
  • Willingness to travel quarterly across Sarawak (Bintulu) as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, multi-site operational environment.
