Technical Assistant - Mechatronic

Job description: 1) Electronic system integration and installation: integration of automation and control systems on plant floor (new equipment and legacy equipment), Electronic enclosure organization and installation, wiring, electronic isolation and protection. Hands on installation of sensors to monitor various parameters such as temperature, speed, weight, flow rates, via different types of protocols. 2) Field maintenance & troubleshooting of electronic installation and interaction with electrical components, system malfunction resolving and support to local operational team. 3) Development of technical documentation, such as wiring diagrams, drafting of system specifications, troubleshooting guide, and user manuals for all our in-house systems. 4) Participation in the development of new projects, such as: - Weighing scale and dynamic weighers connection and centralization. - Automation and integration of new technologies, in particular an intelligent cutting machine. - Development of vision-based system to detect and sort out discrepancies. -Development of vision-based counting systems. - Factory assets tracking and routing through RFID/UWB technologies. 5) CAD drawing. The mechatronic superintendent will be involved in the following tasks: -Process architectural drawing: consolidate our conveyor directory and brainstorm for best assembly setup for our fish preparation process line. -development of mechatronic system for machine ejection and machine indexing. Drawing & testing. - alternative industrial solutions such as industrial controllers programmed in Arduino (Industrial shields, ESP32 based controllers,…), open communication protocols (Modbus TCP / UDP), IIoT solutions such new wireless protocols (LORA, UWB,..) and MQTT based SCADA system. The candidate must have previously managed similar projects at the professional or hobbyist level. He must be able to work with a lot of autonomy. The candidate must also be familiar with basic electronic and electrical system, IIoT Data Protocols (MQTT, web socket, wireless protocol such as LORA, Zigbee), Basic knowledge of Programming language such as C++ (Arduino), Python, Web development, Java Script (Node JS, web) is appreciated. The candidate shall be familiar with CAD drawing tools, such as Solidworks, Autocad suite or similar software. Profile: The candidate must be an industrial engineer, specialized in mechatronics and electronic, with a strong interest in developing projects with a high level of autonomy. He shall be able communicate in simple terms with the local team to understand their needs and translate it to the appropriate automation development. He shall have an enthusiasm for open source and alternative industrial solutions, always thinking out of the box to develop economical yet robust solutions. The candidate must be proficient in English. The candidate must be polyvalent and able to adapt him/herself to a multi-cultural environment.
