Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Governance Coordinator, you will support Office of the COO in facilitating strong governance & controls to the APAC region.

Working Hours: 9AM - 6PM (APAC)

What will you do?

Committee facilitation


  • Compile APAC Operating Committee and other meeting packs as required on a timely basis and ensure free from errors.
  • Act as a secretary and facilitator to local and regional governance committees or forums.
  • Provide robust and accurate meeting minute taking, and prompt circulation.
  • Track and
  • up action items as required.
  • Manage Governance SharePoint site.
  • Work with functional heads, business heads and peers to continuously improve information contained within presentations and identify additional information to be added where required.

Strategy & Governance


  • Work with functional heads, business heads and peers to proactively implement best practice, and continuously improve tools and processes.
  • Address any concerns/questions promptly.
  • Perform annual reviews of governance.

Projects & special assignments


  • Assist with projects as requested by Office of the COO project managers.
  • Work with the project managers to help coordinate and support delivery of key regulatory projects.

APAC Organization charts


  • Quarterly review and maintenance of APAC organization charts.
  • Update organization charts for all countries, front office businesses, control and support functions operating in APAC.
  • Work with Human Resources, Business and Functions to ensure charts are up to date and free from errors.
  • Requires high attention to detail and strong delivery focused approach.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Degree Level Education or equivalent relevant experience
  • Project Management / process management experience
  • Experience of the Investment Banking industry with focus on core firm functions
  • Ability to work on own with little guidance and as part of a small team, proactive self-starter
  • High degree of trust and confidentiality critical
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Experienced in creating presentation materials that will go to Senior Management
  • Delivery focused, comfortable with hard deadlines
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to build strong long lasting working relationships
  • Ability to negotiate and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work within a complex matrix structure
  • Eagerness to understand the big picture and work towards shared goals.
