The SHEQ Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices. This role involves conducting risk assessments, developing, and enforcing policies to promote a culture of safety and sustainability, and ensuring operational adherence to environmental and quality standards. Additionally, the SHEQ Manager oversees the management of the on-site laboratory contractor and equipment, ensuring accurate testing, calibration, and adherence to quality protocols critical to production and compliance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the SHEQ Manager drives initiatives to enhance operational performance, maintain certifications, and foster a safe, sustainable, and high-quality production environment. They play a critical role in training, incident investigation, auditing processes, and maintaining robust systems that prioritize the wellbeing of employees and the surrounding community.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the established Integrated Management System (IMS) for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Ensure the optimal functioning of the MySHEQ system and maintain overall accountability for its health
  • Oversee the overall functioning of the laboratory, ensuring alignment with HSEQ standards and operational requirements
  • Oversee the onsite clinic to ensure optimal functioning and compliance with health and medical requirements
  • Report Safety, Health & Environment related incidents and ensure submission to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage departmental budgets and oversee team performance and development

  • REQUIREMENT:
    • Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering), Quality Management or Industrial Management(Preferably with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) accredited Diploma or Degree) Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
    • Minimum 8 years of working experience in Occupational Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) with at least 10 years management level experience in HSSEQ.
    • Experience in the implementation of an Integrated Management System
