Overall Job Role
Responsible for Controlling & Financial Accounting. Act as financial resource to senior management. Implement and develop financial policies and procedure. Analyse and review processes to implement changes and improvements for greater efficiency. Drive the annual Budget process, support BCA and cost analysis to management. Drive digitalization initiatives to improve overall processes and contribute efficiency.
Specific Role Context: Asia Pacific and EMEA Countries where applicable.
- Global and local reporting & analysis are prepared & submitted timely and accurately.
- Ensure full compliances of accounting standards and regulatory bodies’ requirements.
- Preparing & managing SLA recharge to Countries
Key Activities
Immediate Superior
- Provide effective and efficient support to the Senior Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
SLTs / Operation Managers
- Provide timely and accurate reporting & analysis to respective SLT so that they can make an informed decision
- Collate billable FTE and costs to be recharge to countries
F&A Operation (PtP and RtR)
- Communicate and provide guidance to staff to ensure correct accounting posting & reporting and SLA billing
External Stakeholders
- To liaise with external auditor, banker & tax consultant
- Generate financial reports and analysis to support management
- Prepare balance sheet analysis and ensure all accruals are duly provided
- Assist in SST preparation works and file the SST submission
- Prepare Service Level Agreement (SLA) Recharge amount, billable FTE & volume of transactions processed by tasks
- Handle queries from countries on SLA recharge & inter-company balance related matter
- Asset management with compliance to DPDHL Fixed asset Policy
- Cash flow Management to optimize cash position of the company.
- Generate Cost and Variance Analysis reports to support cost management in a timely and efficient manner
- Liaison with bankers, external & internal auditor and tax agent/consultant
- Assist & coordinating in preparing audit (Internal & External) and taxation schedules and financial accounts
- Work closely with Operations team to ensure tasks migrated are carried out per agreed SLA
- Performs in month-end closing and ensure timely submission of data to CREST & TM1 system
- Assist in monthly reforecast for the year and/or next 12 months based on latest actual months results for each service line
- Support preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) / budget
- Assist in compilation and submission of reports to Regional / Global Office or countries
- Performs tracking of actual cost vs BCA
- Support other tasks assigned by management
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Be able to influence decisions / actions through provision of value added inputs into the organization’s business processes
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to communicate / work effectively with people at all levels and with internal and external stakeholders
- Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Effective presentation skill to stakeholder at all levels
- Software skills (SAP, TM1, CREST, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power Apps etc)
- Able to work under pressure to deliver results according to deadline set
- Detailed oriented
- Good analytical skills and sound accounting knowledge
- Business Acumen
