Requirements
- Ph.D. in Public Health or a related field (e.g., Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Promotion, Environmental Health).
- Minimum 5 years of teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels in public health or related courses.
- Strong research portfolio with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research.
- Active publication record in indexed journals.Experience in securing research funding or leading research projects.
- Practical experience in public health practice or consultancy, either with governmental organizations, NGOs, or international health agencies.
- In-depth knowledge of public health disciplines such as epidemiology, biostatistics, global health, and health systems.
- Experience in supervising postgraduate students (e.g., MPH, M.Sc., or Ph.D. candidates).
- Ability to mentor junior faculty and staff.
- Strong communication skills for effective teaching and collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to contribute to curriculum design and development.
- Participation in departmental activities, committees, and community engagement.
Job Description
- Contributing to the development, facilitation and delivery of the undergraduate school teaching programme in the discipline area.
- Organising programmes of instruction, including lectures, tutorials, practical activities and assessment in a discipline area for undergraduate students at University.
- Liaising closely with the Dean and relevant staff at University regarding curriculum development, teaching programmes and examinations; and in particular participating in the development of the new undergraduate programme / curriculum.
- Evaluating and assessing student achievement in formal courses.
- Implementing policies and decisions as determined by the Dean at the University.
- Advising and mentoring undergraduate students and providing advocacy as appropriate.
- Maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
- Promoting innovative education methods and technology-enhanced learning as appropriate to support the course content.
- Supporting academic staff capacity development at the University.
- Pursuing independent research or research collaborations relevant to the undergraduate school in and/or relevant to the development of public/population in Malaysia and the region.
- Ensuring course curricula and materials are kept up-to-date.
- Undertaking overseas assignments as may be required.
- Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required from time to time.
- Contribute to the teaching and development.
- Lead the development of co-curricular activities for students and staffs of University
- Key member of University Management Committee and actively involved in the quality assurance.
- Representing the best interests of University at all times
- Performing such other related duties as may be requested

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
