Java J2EE Fullstack Developer

Deliverables • Implement enhancements, break/fixes, code quality improvements, performance tuning, capacity upgrades, software patching, and risk remediation measures • Execute on projects, technical roadmap, and product strategy • Maintain robust software documentation including business flows, technical specifications, design diagrams, data model, release notes, and test cases • Provide after-hours support as needed for production rollouts and crisis situations • Interact with external and internal stakeholders for issue resolution, project work, and audit exercises • Adhere to ITSM best practices such as in change management, incident management, and problem management (root cause analysis) • Stay abreast of technology and business trends to help foster innovation and efficiency within the organization CORE COMPETENCIES • 2+ years of experience in application development using Java, JSP, and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL) • Development experience on Java EE frameworks (such as Websphere or Weblogic) is preferred • Exposure to Linux/Unix system administration preferred. • Experience with other object-oriented programming languages such as .NET ASP, .NET C#, Koitlin, Go, and Groovy; and scripting languages in Linux/Unix is an advantage. In this role, you must be flexible to adopt different technologies to suit the situation at hand • Experience in developing APIs on frameworks such as Mulesoft, APISix, Apigee is an advantage • Proficiency in release management tooling such as version control, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and code quality control. • Critical thinker and able to lend out-of-the-box thinking to formulate solutions • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical, non-technical, and leadership audiences. • Able to orchestrate multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines • Adaptable, flexible, and motivated to grow. Keen attention to detail with a passion in producing high-quality results SLA/ KPI • Deliver scope of work within stipulated timelines • Highlight issues and challenges transparently to the team • Actively participate in technical scoping, solutioning, and design • Produce robust documentation throughout the software delivery cycle • Conduct thorough unit testing prior to promoting to a higher environment • Ensure code passes defined quality gates • Liaise closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Quality Assurance, Operations, Business, PMO) to ensure expectations are met and deliverables are of quality • Ensure zero change-related production issues attributed to insufficient testing and go live planning • Adhere closely to change management, incident management, problem management, and other organizational practices and protocols • Find better ways of doing things and apply critical thinking in day-to-day activities • Ask questions rather than making assumptions • Manage time effectively and able to deliver under minimal supervision
