Job Description


Frasers Group in Malaysia (Shah Alam) are currently looking for an IT Workshop Technician to join our enthusiastic and dedicated IT Workshop team, providing a service to a wide variety of end users consisting of retail branch, warehouse and Head Office personal as well as home and remote users. The IT Workshop is a diverse, flexible, professional team working in a fast-paced environment. The opportunity to grow your career in a fast paced and dynamic environment is one for the bold.

As the IT Workshop Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Repairing, maintenance, and asset tracking of a variety of IT systems, including desktop computers, laptops, tablet hardware, printers, EPOS terminals, and handheld scanners.
  • Managing the configuration of Cisco networking equipment, EPOS Till systems, handheld devices, and printers.
  • Processing of returns and recycling equipment.
  • Ensuring accurate stock inventory and asset management.
  • Utilizing Halo to manage workload/tickets and responding to phone requests.
  • Coordinating hardware for store rollouts and acquisitions.
  • Any other assignments as directed by immediate superior as and when required.

Qualifications


The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • A strong interest in computing.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently without direct supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Extensive experience with IT hardware.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT hardware maintenance/ IT support role.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
