Job Description:
1. Daily Food Temperature Monitoring
- Conduct and record daily temperature checks for each meal service across all food categories ensuring compliance with safe serving temperatures.
2. Food Service Coordination and Compliance
- Oversee timely collection and distribution of food trolleys, ensuring food is consumed within 4 hours of cooking, adhering to food safety standards.
3. Cleanliness and Sanitation of Equipment and Surfaces
- Conduct daily and weekly inspections of food contact surfaces and storage areas, upholding GMP and MSQH standards to prevent contamination.
4. Labelling, Traceability and Product Recall Management
- Verify that all food items are correctly labeled for traceability, supporting GMP and MSQH requirements.
5. Food Disposal and Inventory Management
- Monitor the disposal of leftover food, following food safety guidelines and manage FIFO (First-In-First-Out) stock rotation to ensure freshness.
6. Facility Maintenance and Pest Control
- Schedule and oversee pest control activities, preventive maintenance (PPM) and equipment calibration in line with GMP compliance requirements.
7. Root Cause Analysis and Non-Conformance Management
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for food safety incidents or non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
8. MSQH & HALAL Compliance Management
- Conduct regular reviews to verify MSQH and HALAL compliance in food sourcing, storage and preparation, maintaining up to date certifications and supplier adherence.
9. Continuous Improvement in Food Safety, Quality and Operational Effectiveness
- Lead initiatives to improve food safety and quality protocols, identifying areas for process enhancements and implementing changes that contribute to overall effectiveness.
10. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and submit operational reports, summarizing food safety checks, inventory transactions, compliance audits and improvement initiatives for management review.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Food Safety, Public Health, Food Science, certificate in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP or food safety regulations or a related field or at least 1 year of experience in healthcare or food service environment with a track record of implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of food safety policies, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) traceability standards and MSQH and Halal compliance is preferable.
