Job Description

Purpose of Job:
  • Manage group accounts
  • Plan and manage group finance and cash flow.
  • Improve accounting process and move from SAP to Microsoft Dynamic.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent leadership and management of Corporate Finance, measured by the effectiveness, engagement and business unit respect of the team.
  • Provide strong accounting and reporting throughout the group, including overseeing, monitoring an effective control environment, and providing strategic information and advice to the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company at any time it is involved in business transactions or acquisitions. In some cases, controllers may also provide legal advice, be responsible for treasury, tax and financial planning.
  • Build productive working relationships with stakeholders in order to understand their business operations and the financial information needs of end users.
  • Manage the Group’s cash flows within available facilities, providing appropriate reporting to Board of Directors.
  • Manage the Group’s financial reporting obligations, with responsibility for preparation and lodgement of compliant financial year consolidated accounts.
  • Manage the Group’s statutory taxation obligations with responsibility for preparation and lodgement.
  • Collaborate, design, implement and review finance systems, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and contemporary relevant practices.
  • Oversee finance transformation of works.
  • Preparation of annual budgets.
  • Undertake a range of other activities within the Corporate Finance function, in conjunction with other Finance staff, such as maintenance of consolidated key finance activities (e.g. asset financing); governance/internal control activities; business administration or insurance management.
  • Ensure reporting functions and responses to ad hoc requests for financial related information are appropriately delivered.


Requirements

  • Member of Malaysia Institute Accountant (MIA), is mandatory.
  • Experience with listing companies or IPO, is strong advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
