Internship Placement (Spa & Wellness)

Job Summary:
The Spa Intern will assist the spa team in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing support in daily operations, learning essential spa service techniques, and gaining insight into the wellness and hospitality industry. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional spa environment, with opportunities to develop skills in customer service, spa operations, and wellness program execution in our award winning spa.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Assist in guiding guests through spa facilities and explaining available treatments and services.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and feedback.

Operational Support:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of spa areas, including treatment rooms, reception, and relaxation areas.
• Assist in inventory management for spa products and supplies.
• Support therapists and technicians by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all necessary items are available.

Administrative Tasks:

• Handle appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations using spa software.
• Process payments and provide receipts when needed.
• Participate in promotional activities, such as creating marketing materials or assisting with spa events.

Learning and Development:

• Observe and, where permitted, assist in providing treatments such as massages, facials, and body scrubs.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Learn and adhere to health and safety standards within the spa environment.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a hospitality, wellness, or related program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for wellness and guest service excellence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various tasks.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with spa software is a plus.
