1. To assist the Front Office Manager in planning and coordinating his section’s objectives, to assist in communicating all required information to his staff.

2. To organize and delegates duties as Bell man.

3. To ensure all guest baggage are delivered promptly to their rooms as soon as they have registered.

4. To answer the telephone promptly and courteously.

5. To work to comply, if possible, with each and every guest request.

6. To ensure a bell man goes up to the room immediately when requested by guest for check - out.

7. To ensure all messages, mail, parcels and other items for guests are correctly and promptly delivered to the rooms.

8. To ensure all baggage held for storage are recorded and claim tickets baggage tags are issued to guests correctly. Be responsible for the baggage kept in the baggage room.

9. To see that the cleanliness of his working areas, guest elevators, hotel entrance and the lobby is maintained (ashtrays, windows, floor and sofa seats, etc.)

10. To ensure that all times the loading and unloading or luggage is placed properly at the side entrance with no obstruction to guest arriving at the hotel through the main entrance. Direct traffic and keep the main entrance clear from unauthorized parking.

11. To ensure that the trolleys are accounted for on every shift and that they are stacked in a neat orderly manner.

12. To ensure that daily event board are put up correctly accordingly to event order.

13. To ensure that all shuttle that have reserved by guest are arranged and have a vehicle standing by at that particular time.

14. To schedule employees according to the demands of arriving business and to assign tasks to them.

15. To continue performing the duties of the Bell man during busy period and meal hours.

16. To work closely with the entire team of Front Office and others department.

17. To report any major problems, incidents to the Front Office Manager.

18. To orientate and train new staff into the hotel organization and acquaint them with hotel policies.

19. To ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the Bell Counter.

20. To check that a smooth car loading or unloading takes place, including the co-ordination with the parking area.

21. To attend departmental meetings and training program when requested.

22. To have control measure for bell man and driver movement.

23. To keep record of all calls including arrival or departure of guests on the “Bell Captain Control Log” which records the name of the bell man, purpose of service, room number he went up to and the time service completed.

24. Supervises the parking of guest’s vehicle and give parking information with the assistance from the drivers.

Job Types: Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
