Position Summary
The Flight Operation Scheduling Officer in the Training and Standards Department is responsible for coordinating the scheduling and management of initial and recurrent ground courses for flight crew. Key duties include planning and updating flight crew training schedules, liaising with the Crew Planning department for timely training arrangements and assigning Flight Instructors for Base Check training. The role also involves assisting with the administration and maintaining a conducive office environment, and supporting operational or project tasks as needed.
Key Accountability
- Scheduling of initial and recurrent ground courses for flight crew
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, updating and managing the booking requirements for flight crew's training schedule
- Liaising with Crew Planning department to ensure the timely scheduling of all initial and recurrent training for flight crew
- Responsible for assigning Flight Instructor (FI) for Base Check training.
- Responsible in compiling and submitting the Designated Flight Examiner (DFE) Record of test/check to CAAM
- Assist in general administration of the Training Centre
- Ensure conducive office environment by monitoring and updating staff movement and activities, plan and organize office operational and social activities.
- Assist on any other operational / project support as required.
Qualification
- Minimum SPM or equivalent with credits in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics.
- Computer literate and well versed in Microsoft Office Applications (word, excel & power point).
- Two years in airline operations
Areas of Experience
- Strong knowledge of aviation training standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in coordinating training programs, particularly in aviation or flight operations.
Personality Traits
- Good communication skills. Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills and pleasant personality with positive attitude. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting capabilities
- Possess own transport. Able to travel whenever required
