- To centralize all the purchasing activities and ensure compliance policies and procedures.
- To purchase material in a timely manner at the lowest cost with highest quality.
- To source and negotiate for items such as spare parts, chemical, packaging material, fabrication and machining jobs, consumables items, indirect, materials and servicing job.
- Continuously identify and implement new opportunities for cost saving.
- Expedite and monitor delivery schedule
- Coordinates and resolves problems between end user department and suppliers.
- Analyze trends in vendors pricing and sales activity to determine the correct timing of bulk purchases (e.g. packaging material)
- Evaluate existing and potential suppliers recommend new suppliers
- Arrange for disposal of scrap material, through tender selection and letter of awarding
- Preparing of monthly purchasing report
- Participate in specialized projects and assignments related to procurement, as required
- Assist in resolving Accounts Payable invoice discrepancies and variances
- Perform other related duties/ responsibilities as assigned by superior.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,630.22 per month
